sorry for the delay in replying to you. Please can you try the following and see if this resolves the issue where the form/screen hangs.

Minimise the Oracle Applications Window during Playback. This helps fix random playback errors that appear to be caused by the forms client not being able to keep up with the playback. This can help when the playback fails after just a few records. Minimising the Oracle window as soon as it opens fixes this issue. If the Oracle window is minimised you can check the load progress by monitoring the file that Oracle records to during playback.

Use oracle.forms.engine.Main instead of MainRT
. The MainRT Java class can occasionally cause issues. If persistent playback errors occur try reverting to the Main Java class. To do this remove "&code=oracle.forms.engine.MainRT" from the playback URL/profile value or remove the "&config=playback" parameter if you use that to cause MainRT to be used. This results in the forms not being displayed during playback however they are displayed when the playback stops, either because the load finished or an error occurred.

Hopefully this will resolve the issue, please let us know how you get on.

We are finding that some patch levels cause this issue where the screen hangs. For some people the load continues in the background but for others it does not. This issue is an Oracle stability problem rather than a DataLoad issue. Because the problem is with Oracle code we can't be 100% sure of the cause but it appears that the Oracle client cannot cope with the number of screen updates being sent from the server and hangs.

Everyone we have spoken to so far has found that turning off screen updates fixes this issue. That means deleting one of the following from the ICX: Forms Launcher profile option value for your playback user:-

&config=playback
&code=oracle.forms.engine.MainRT

If the issue still occurs after making this change please contact support@dataload.net.
