|
|
Hi,
On the MACRO version, upon completion of a load, it would give the time it took to complete the load as well as how many records got processed. Does the PROFESSIONAL version do it as well?
If so, how can I make it display?
Thanks,
Joe |

Joe,
I don't think that it does (and I don't have access to a system to check right now). I wanted to do some timings to prove how much faster DataLoad Professional is, so I did it in Excel. I clicked a cell labelled "Start Time" and did CTL+Shift+; then I clicked on another cell containing the URL then, when it finished, I clicked on another cell labelled "End Time" and did CTL+Shift+; and finally I had a cell called "Duration" which calculated the difference. To get the record count, I would use SQL to count the records before and after, then calculate the difference.
BTW, the cell containing the URL was built by concatenating a number of cells, including the record and playback file names, which in turn were a concatenation of "record_file" or "playback_file" and a cell containing the number 1 or 2 or 3 or ....., giving the file names discussed in your other post http://www.dataload.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71.
HTH

David,
I se that the progress button is turned off for the PRO version, but is available with the MACRO.
Thanks for telling me how you track your speed/progress.

Joe, David,
No, Dataload doesn't (and can't) tell you how many records have been processed in a forms playback load and how long the load took. This is becaue the actual load is run by Oracle Forms and not by DataLoad so DataLoad doesn't have this information.
