Hi,

The past month has seen further significant additions to DataLoad with the release of V5.3 and then V5.4. Performance of Browser Control (used for loading in Self Service / HTML forms) has been further improved and new features added. Load Control performance has also been tuned. Scripting has seen a large number of key updates, including a new function that validates an Oracle E-Business Suite username/password and connects to the database as "APPS" if a valid combination was provided. This removes the need for users to enter a database password or for the APPS password to be stored anywhere within scripts.

Users have long been asking for functionality to restrict what other users can do in loads, that is to lock functionality. A comprehensive suite of options now exist to do this, which enables users to package loads for others to use.

These changes have been made to improve further the performance and functionality of loads and support the sharing of loads among multiple users.
