All,
Thank you DATALOAD for this helpful program.

I have some problems when I try to ADD a new JE (Journal Entry) in JDE OW XE with the ALT + 0 Keystroke.

I can populate the JE header (F0011) and detail (F0911) but when I try to save the JE using ALT + O (OK in menu) the dataload don't do anything.

My question is how could I get the ALT + .... keystrokes in dataload?

The commands \%O , \%O% do not work.

I use Citrix to reach JDE.

I Appreciate if you could help me because we have more than 10000 JE to load.

Hi,

I think the key issue here is Citrix. We know that when Citrix is used it behaves differently to other applications so that loading data in to JDE (or any other application) through Citrix is not the same as loading data directly in to that application.

The fix is to change the way DataLoad sends keystrokes. Open the DataLoad Options window (Tools->Options or click the yellow cog icon on the toolbar). Now click on the Macro Loads tab and ensure the checkbox named "Legacy DataLoad keystroke mode" is ticked. Click OK and try your load again.

That change should fix this problem. If it does fix the problem then it is worth going back in to the Options window and clicking the "Make Default" button. This will make the current Options the default for all future loads so you won't have to remember to tick this checkbox each time you create a new load.

Thanks,

Jonathan Stuart

Dataload,

Thank you very much for you response.

I've tried with the support that you has given us but it did not work.

The application does not recognize the ALT + ...

My version in dataload is Classic V5.3.0.0

Is it possible to think in delays commands or something else to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Please check if Num Lock is on and if it is then turn it off and try the load again. Let me know what happens.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Jonathan,

Thank you for your time.

I've followed your instructions but it did not work.

I tested with Dataload Macro Recorded but when I click on ALT + 0 the result is just a letter "o".

I've tried with "Record mouse click" in on and in off, but I did not have luck.

Any help?

THANK YOU!

Bcantor,

The macro recorder result is a bit of a "red herring" because that can't detect the Alt key.

Please upgrade to V5.4 of DataLoad and re-test - make sure Num Lock is off and then test first with "Legacy DataLoad keystroke mode" un-checked and, if that doesn't work, with that checkbox ticked.

I am not confident that V5.4 will fix this, however it is the latest version of DataLoad and contains a small change to how the Alt key is handled. Therefore I would like to test with that before we go any further.

We are currently developing a small key tester that will enable you to control exactly how keys are being sent and hopefully that will enable us to find the configuration that works with Citrix & JDE. If the problem still occurs in V5.4 then we will send you this tester when it is ready.

Thanks,

Jonathan
