Hi,
You can't change the forms playback file location without changing $FORMS60_PATH - they are the same thing and indeed the purpose of $FORMS60_PATH is to control where Oracle Forms writes these files. You can safely $FORMS60_PATH and only the Oracle Forms files will be written to the new location. The other files that are by default written to the directory pointed to by $FORMS60_PATH will still be written to that directory after you change $FORMS60_PATH, it is only the Oracle Forms files (i.e. the forms playback files and forms runtime diagnostics files, etc) that move when you change $FORMS60_PATH. If you are still not happy to change $FORMS60_PATH then please let me know what concerns you about changing this location.
Thaks,
Jonathan Stuart |
